Safe Finished Product Infusion with Robot-Assisted System during the Epidemic of Corona Virus Disease 2019
Objective: To probe into the feasibility of robot-assisted system to ensure the safe delivery of finished product infusion in pharmacy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS) during the epidemic of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19)
so as to reduce the risk of mutual infection. Methods: Logistics robot was adopted to clean
disinfect and optimize the logistics distribution process. Finished product infusion prepared by PIVAS was timely delivered to each ward. Contamination of delivery robot’s surface
delivery time and delivery errors were monitored and tracked. Results: During the epidemic of COVID-19
the contamination of delivery robot’s surface
delivery time
delivery accuracy and loss of finished product infusion of robot-assisted system delivery were better than those of manual delivery (P<0.05). Robot-assisted system delivery played an important role in avoiding surface contamination
especially contact infection of COVID-19. Conclusion: Robot-assisted system delivery can effectively reduce the surface contamination of microorganism
